Ground down below at/where the mirror bolts go in with ground strap or ground wire actually use both and do both you'll be double strapping it to the frame of the truck. Then see what happens....... yes I'm talking about the pole mount

And that pole mount should have been made out of stainless steel and would be considerably better if it was. Just as buying the stainless steel mirror mount from Bob's or rabbis fabricator is better than that aluminum mirror mount crap they sell at the j or pilot .....

No point if it doesnt work past 27.5 -
easily tuned past that. Shorter makes it higher.

Just goin by what was said in the vid

Rational thinking and ignoring what is irrelevant dictates any antenna can be tuned to any frequency if you can think outside the box.
The only handicap we have are the ones we deliberately impose upon ourselves. -
Cheapest bolt on solution.

Being determined to go in the wrong direction generally ends up with mediocre results.
The extension is only useful for something like this.
Gg Thunderpole Boomerang | CB 26-28 MHz AM/FM/SSB Homebase Antenna
The 'Boomerang' is one of the most compact CB homebase antennas available, and yet it still performs exceptionally well and provides wide band coverage.
The total length is only 2 metres, which is much smaller than most base antennas, and this means it can be used in the most compact of spaces. It is ideal for balcony, loft or window mounting.
It comes complete with mounting bracket & clamps and can be mounted outside or in a loft or on a Freightliner Cascadia.
25(2)+2 Thanks this. -
Ok help me understand..What the diff in me using that tall mount idea any different than gettin that $26 oil cooled ant you mentioned and putting a 4ft shaft under it?????
Im talkin principle not physical..I can easily have one made longer as desired..
