As I've mentioned before, I got 26 miles out of a 7' Firestik.
Finfn1372, rabbiporkchop and bored silly Thank this. -
The other thing to consider is that most truck drivers these days are either running their squelch up/gain down or running crappy factory antenna systems. It's hard to get a good range report from a random truck driver as a result.
Before I resolved the noise issues in this truck, I managed to do around 10 miles mobile to mobile with my little PC-122.mike5511, rabbiporkchop and bored silly Thank this. -
No doubt if the truck radio on the other end is not up to par antenna wise. FA GET ABOUT IT...... MOST ID SAY ARE NOT

The Q27 was better than the Predator with 27" shaft, at least it didnt put stress on the mount, so actually it wasnt that bad.bored silly and rabbiporkchop Thank this.

Whoa wait what--- back the bus up beep beep beep ok it's backed up.... think our fellow member VOLVO JUST told Craig he's got the wrong antenna and needs a 7ft. Firestik. Instead of his 7ft. Skipshooter I DUNNO ....
-
I don't see a 7' SkipShooter performing any worse than a 7' Firestik.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Probably not but I gotta give Craig a hard time when I can lol he's running the7ft. Skipshooter now he says. If he talks and receives 26 miles he might have a heart attack. He'll be so happy
-
Never had noise issues in these crapcadia trucks. Guess I'm lucky alot seem too......

I got lucky with my first one. This one, not so much.
bored silly Thanks this.
