The only noise issue I experienced was while driving with static coming from the steer tires/ hubs, because it would diminish on wet surface and when breaking, when sitting still static level was very minimal.

Here is how a slip-seater cured the wobble. About page four on this lengthy thread........... It hasn't failed me yet!

Addressing the amfm, I had to get new whips, for the outside antennas on the sides of the sleeper, and got the multi band ones from FL, the radio reception is much improved.

The mounts are replaceable, and I could get them for preferred pricing for lease companies, but I decided to try new sticks first. The other thing is, some worked decent from the factory, and others always had high SWRs. Mine did but would still do what I wanted. Nowhere near as good as the Q5 mount and receptacle on the mirror bracket.

I had a loaner with the cb still in it, and that one worked fine with the stock system.

Another driver uses Wilson 2000s which are also wide band and he gets good result with both radio and cb.

Going to p/u one of those mirror mounts from Steve at q5 asap I'm going through there pretty often now... most impressive mirror mount I've seen yet and it's stainless steel.

Speaking of Houston I heard you were dominating the airwaves in Baytown Texas. That's kind of hard to do with a Barefoot radio in a Freightliner Cascadia.

Couple years ago I was in Utah driving across the salt flats, shooting skip on 38 LSB... pissing off guys in Washington because I kept clearing out their receive.

One guy said I was coming into the back side of his beam and still clearing out his receive.

    Barefoot 955, 7 foot Firestik.

Apparently Craig was actually in Baytown Texas. Lots of local chatter on the radio in Baytown. Apparently Craig's audio stood out Above the Rest
