Cascadia Antenna Solutions

I have learned lil bits and pieces required to make my set up better and that same info is basic info in ant theory..I got a looooooooooonnnnnnnngggggģgggggg way to go before i can say im good at it but i can say im getting better..

I'm ready to throw a 102" on there and be done with it.... or BLOW THE TRUCK UP !!!! All that weeble/wobble crap with a 27" predator or whatever on that mirror mount deal.... WHATS THE DIFFERENCE......

 

I didnt like just the 27" shaft of the 10k on a stud with the ss mount..The ss mound from bobs needs to be a lil thicker so that its sturdy..The whip on that 10 was thinner to that on the comp so it was whippy...Just makes me uneasy...Same with 7 foot skip shooter...With all that power your runnin your gonna need a bigger coiled type ant or a 102"....Again your gonna have to figure out how to stop that 102 from being so dang flimsy..Lol in a cross wind you just might slap the driver goin the other way in the face..lol

 

Gee thanks MISTER P well if it slaps the driver going the other way maybe he deserves it or needs it.... lol. If not I'll stop if he/she wants and we can talk about it !!!!!! Or they can try to catch me... I'm NOT DRIVING ONE OF THOSE THERE 62TO70 MPH TRUCKS.

 

My key down antenna has a massive coil but only has a 9 inch shaft... worked perfect with the pole mount but I managed to lose the pole mount when changing jobs...... gotta get another pole mount NOW... I DON'T GIVE A BOO BOO WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS THAT POLE MOUNT WORKS THE BEST ON A TURD-CADAIA

K boyz n gals...I am gonna be testing my cascadia solution soon..I hope this works or i just blew away some beer $$..
Started out as your typical 40" tall cascadia cb ant mount....After a few conversations with people that know tons more than me i got to thinkin.....Here is my solution..........Might get time the weekend to see but when i do test ill pass on my results..

 

I had the same with swr.Was running a 7ft firestick,just couldn't help but to chuckle,at how stupid that thing looked,I had to ride the shoulder because I was afraid it was gonna pop another truck lol.

Stopped by steelrod's cb shop,and he put on a 4ft firefly that got my swr down to 1.4,but currently i'm just running a peaked and tuned cobra.When the time comes to upgrade my radio,i'll be looking for a better setup.but for now this works.

 

Going from a 7' to a 4' is like selling a corvette and buying a miata...whatever floats your boat I guess?
