If I'm seeing it right, you've just changed the length of the shaft, like going from a 5" to a 12" on a Wilson 5K. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but you'll need to shorten your stinger a whole bunch. What's the AA-30 showing you?

He is changing the length of the shaft by about 40 inches. The big issue is that the way the shaft is mounted to the truck is two bolts that thread into the door. Therefore grounding the entire antenna to the truck.rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
So this is more of the idea your getting at..Would this work??
red and blk lines is where feed point should be vs the green at the bottom..Attached Files:

Yes, that's basically what I'm saying. The only way to keep it the way you have it right now would be to use plastic spacers that run through the shaft so that no part of the shaft including the bolts come in contact with the grounding point of the bracket.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

Thats the way the mount is designed to attach to the truck..2 bolts holding bar to mount and 2 more holding to mirror stud holes themselves..Its the way it worked before...Only diff i made was to put coil directly on the pole vs the lil 3 inch flat bar off the side...On the under side of the flat bar there would be my coax connect..I changed that to below the two bolts that connect to mirror stud holes..

@craig_sez I sent you a PM with my phone number.

ok..I gotcha ya..So plastic washers and something to totally cover the two bolts that hold pole to bracket..Isolating it completely......
Now that brings up another question......What about antenna grounding now??
If im right ill have to make it a dipole for it to work wouldnt i?? -
No.
Plate is grounded to truck just fine.
Antenna shaft must be insulated from that plate. -
Take the 2 bolts out and screw your stud on the bottom.
Replace bracket on truck with the stainless one and attach antenna via stud on angle bracket clamped to perch and it will work just fine although your wobbling might increase due to the extra weight. -
