I know enough about radios to make me dangerous. Lol. Yes, mine are angled forward 15° mainly so that when I'm running down the road that are pretty much straight up & down. I know even angled forward a radio should receive better than a mile away. I'll keep learning & keep tinkering with it.

Be sure and remove the factory antenna on the drivers side, if you have one. That will lower the SWR as well.

Buy the same bolt but longer...Had to basically do the same with my 7ft skip shooter..Nail thats used as a tuning tip was about a cpl inches short..RStewart Thanks this.

If you'll notice, my stud is that good, heavy duty, stainless steel stud that Francis used to sell. I don't know if you can still get them????

It's a company rig that was never setup for a CB so I don't know if it's in their or not. Either way removing it would be a modification I'm not allowed to make.
