Just FWIW, I'm running a 2015 Cascadia with integrated antenna and original factory coax/hardware. Had a guy check the SWR and it measured 1.5. Not good, but better then I expected.
For me, it's not worth the expense and hassle of adding a custom antenna just to get more range that I really don't use or need. -
A dummy load gets you better than that but doesnt transmit squat..
Yeah if your happy with a cpl miles leave well enough alone..rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Kind of like a wide banded antenna

It's kind of hard to use what you don't have,
But it's lots of fun experiencing something that defies most people's logic or experience -
My cascadia had 2 antenna on the back of cab wall...put my mfj on it to see..lol i just unscrewed my mfj and put it away lol
-
works just fine for me it's sold as ground wire.... autozone orielllys and discount auto all sell it in the battery section.... #### gets a little too anal on here for me sometimes........ ..................

Thats strange I have a 2016 Crapcadia with integrated antenna and my swr read 3.0+, guess each truck is different, but even it was a 1.0 range is still only a couple of miles if lucky.bored silly Thanks this.
