Before you continue, maybe you need to learn more antenna theory because your going on wrong tangents trying to find solutions without understanding the problem.

Thanks Leon, it's amazing that after 40 different dipoles using that formula and having them work, that the formula is invalid for CB antennas.

 

The laws of physics apply regardless whether a license is required or not. Naturally the velocity of the signal will decrease as it travels across the metal. I find it's nice and simple to use the free space measurement and nibble away the excess until it becomes resonant.

 

Oh please rabbi, this has been argued many many times by much smarter people and they always lost the argument.

The established formula works and has for almost 100 years, it takes in account a lot more variables than the absolutes in physics.

 

I say let's all just go the nudie bar and look at a bunch of buck naked ladies ..... lol
