Not gonna bicker over he said, you said but i said what i said...I also wasnt gonna angle my ant 45 deg like i was told..
Speaking of expence, remember that top piece i had made for my 40" tall mount...Well from a local machine shop charged me $80 just for that..Imagine what that bracket will cost...

There is a reason you were told to angle the antenna. I'll let you figure out the reason.

Yeah its to get the coil away from metal but on that 40" shaft its not so affected by metal beside the ant..The coil is at about the same area on the 40" as it would be on a shorter shaft but angled like bull horns..The coil sits just above the windshield and its all fibreglass up there so no point..
Only bracket i own that will allow that kinda angle is the ole wilson mirror arm ant mount..People say they break so im not gonna use it..

Anyways you glossed over my post with the questions and tell me you know my problem..Yet i have no idea..

Wish folks would just say it and not make it a guessing game

You were given a set of instructions and you allowed your opinion to interfere with following instructions. You don't need a reason you just need to follow the instructions. It's a waste of breath to tell you anything if you don't follow instructions.

It's always cheaper to do it marks way the first time.
You could have saved yourself the expense of the 40 inch extension Plus the $80 you spent at the Machine Shop making that metal plate

True....Still not doin the 45 degree deal..I know i have seen it somewhere that it does zero to help other than give a fake swr and most likely resonance.reading..
So i gotta spend the $40 on bobs bracket and then what ever a longer shaft will cost only to end up where i am now...Thats based on what i seen others complain about..

Get to the point..If you have no point other than telling me i dont listen, make excuses and so on(all of which i explained)or call me a dumb ### with different wording then dont bother..
