40" was bought before i got on this forum..The $80 part was made cause seems both you and mark are sayin to do the dipole on it..

 

If you're going to do it your way don't expect any help from me..
Whenever you decide to give up on doing it your way and you decide to make it work feel free to let me know but I'm not going to help you do it in a way that is not successful. I have no interest in contributing to somebody's failure.

 

Oh by the way...i did do it marks way....no help.....i used an 18" shaft i had made ages ago...
That 40" mount has been off and on as i tried alot of stuff here..Seems i keep buying and trying nuthin changes or it just will not tune....So unless im missing somethin,im not maken head way.

 

Mark told you use a 17 inch shaft manufactured by the same person that made your antenna which you have yet to do. Mark's way is the cheapest and easiest way. My way is more expensive but more efficient in a single Direction. I have no interest in troubleshooting something that was done your way.

 

Just let me know when something starts let alone starts to work.... it's nap time......

 

Lol...Dont care bud...aircraft alum is aircraft alum..t6061 i think it is...Its not special metals or nothing..threaded same.way so now..Im not gonna buy what i already have had made..Man o man get a grip....

 

As the very first post stated theirs no perfect solution to the cascadia antenna situation and theirs not... good luck I just read what's posted on this dip pole cascadia solution deal anymore... I like to drive forward not backwards

 

What trouble shooting has been done?????

Buy a 17 in.....Buy and longer shaft to get ant up and away from truck..
Do dipole dont use the 40" mount...Use bobs mount,use the 40"mount as a dipole..Dont use 40 in use 17" shaft...
Dont use the 10k use my free one..
Make a huge bracket for the back of the truck that i dont own and use ant you make...Tilt 45 degree...drve the company truck 80 mi or so to your area on company fuel and truck back...Make a #### load of ld calls cross boarders...
Dipole have to be same type of ant and then that changes...
My god man....How much $$ and time to do all this testing do you think i have...
At this rate of mass confusion my.cancer will not be killin me it will be the heart attack ill have after all my $ is spent on buyin stuff for a company.truck i dont own only.to TAKE A CHANCE that one idea "MIGHT" work...

 

The problem is several people have told you how to do it in such a way as to make it work but you have deliberately chosen to do it in a way that does not work and then you want us to help you bend the laws of physics to make your way work which doesn't work.
