At the moment he's the only one with a pressing antenna issue that needs attention.

Love how i get called an idiot in a thread i said nothing in..to funny..

Rabbi i didnt say i dont wanna do the mount you suggested..I daid its a company truck not mine..Add to the fact all this ss and welding parts on the ss to get the antenna (you were talkin double dipoles)into the wind stream aint cheap...
I also daid i wanna work with what i got 1st to see what can be done....

Now after sayin your antenna works so good and your mount idea is so good and you suggested the duel dipole, then you turn around and say a dipole is a quick fix??
Seems to me you sorta back tracked about the value of a dipole..

You said a dipole will work and say make is one of the best ant guys but he says no...
Then you come back another time and say you and mark say to use my 40" tall mount and make that a dipole...
In another point you said my feed point was to far away from my counterpoise by useing the 40" tall mount so i get a 7ft ss and use good coax and stud..
So in that respect i got marks tune on my 955,his stud(2 actually)and coax..

So in closeing you now see partly why im not willing to spend a wack of coin on ss/duel phased coax/ 4 equal antennas just to see "IF" the idiot proof 5 min fix will work or not....

Your all over the board on this bud..

Not really. Your understanding is not quite there. 2 dipole arrays are great. Much more potent than a single dipole.
You misrepresent what I said regarding an Idiot telling you your antenna system is perfectly fine. I never referred to you as an Idiot. Marks way is quick, cheap, and easy.
He will tell you my way is more efficient in a single direction, costs more money, and more difficult to tune, but more fun for me to use. I am perfectly consistent, but your understanding is not.

Oh really? Based on my experience, that 4 mile limitation is untrue..

floating ground.jpg This was represented to me by an antenna dealer as being one solution Wilson Antenna came up with to help solve problems such as we experience with the Cascadias. I am no expert but add this to the discussion.
