Less ground losses and if i remember it correctly lower your resonance point which also drops some impedence..Impedence is my issue..Im in the 65 ohm range..... -
use a extended mirror stud, get it from the local cb shop, some truckstops, allows you to use a standard mirror mount add a 6.5 foot francis and talk away.

the golden screwdriver east of Bruces. Yeah I used to hear him all overe the country. He replaced a mic cord, did a poor job then insisted he never installed the cord. he used to radio check everyones radio he claimed to tune up using a palomar 350.

I thibk hes near Keen, or east side of Tehachapi like Stallion Springs, but havent heard him in a long time

He tuned a radio for Fireball AKA John Denver in San Diego and the difference was phenomenal. His work is much better than Chris Holland down in Ontario if you can find him.
