I seldom talk to other drivers, and it has never been about casino's. So I can say yes.

We all know that if someone won at least $800 every time they stopped at a casino they would not need to be a truck driver.
Or even want to be one.

 

I don't think I've had 4 beers in the last 2 years.

 

The first year Dad got sick and took FMLA for 3 months, I watched baseball very closely. During the course of that season, I turned $100 into $5,000.

I've set aside the $5K, this was 2 years ago, and might get back into it this year, theory being if I wager say 3 times as much in the same manner I turn it into $15K.

We'll see what happens. That year one thing that made it possible was Arizona was so bad, I just bet against them all the time lol.

You have to watch a lot, which takes a lot of time, which I don't have at the moment.

I made a living playing poker for a while. There are variances, "swings" that can wipe out a bankroll in a hurry or make you flush with stacks of Benjamin's.

At least with poker you can have an edge. Table games or slots and the house always wins, except if you are adept at counting cards at Blackjack AND can vary your bets without calling attention from the pit boss and get banned.

If I walk into a casino I expect to walk out with a profit. Especially if it's a payday Friday night crowd or if I sit at a table stakes game when a poker tournament is going on and pick off the players on "tilt" when they busted out of the tournament because somebody called their raise with crap cards and hit the flop.

Other than that I have parked my truck at many a casino with absolutely no intention to play. Casino parking is often very good.

 

I don't enjoy it all that much. Dad loves it. That's the only time I ever play. Way too mean spirited of a game for me. Your hoping everyone fails except yourself. And it's still all luck.
To go have fun, I'd much rather play craps. For the most part everyone is hoping for the same outcome, and when the game is good, it's one of the most fun things I've ever done. The women just SCREAM and jump and down, and will hug and kiss you lol. It's gotta be like being a rock star.

Poker, I think you could do well at, or I could, but you have to pray on other peoples weakness's & misfortune, that just doesn't work for me.
