I'll try that. But it wouldn't explain why the truck runs fine with no trailer. Thank you

Ahh, but it might, when you're loaded, the ecm gets a little more finicky looking at engine load percentages.

Ok I'll check it out tomorrow thanks a lot I've had it in and out of the shop for the past week. Meanwhile I've past up multiple jobs. So this will be a lot better than injectors or sensors.

    BeenJammin Thanks this.

One more thing, keep all that cold air up there this coming up winter as long as you can, please. My propane bill will appreciate it. Thanks.

I missed asking a very important question. Does it act up as described when you're running on cruise, because if it does, that would take the accel pedal out of the situation.

Installed a new potentiometer tonight. Did not fix the problem. Still has stutter/miss above 1200 rpm and over half throttle. However the check engine light is kicking on and off, when it is off the truck bucks and jerks, but when the light comes on the truck has reduced power but no bucking and jerking. I rechecked the blink code and it still has the same 21 code.

    Did you calibrate the sensor?

Turn key on and wait three seconds fully depress pedal three times and turn key off. If it doesn't fix it, try running with cruise and not your pedal like Bennjammin mentioned. It would have eliminated or verified the pedal as a problem. Problem with dead pedal not under load is truck will run fine but when you get a load on the pedal is not sending enough back to ecm to supply power for extra load, thus generally causes bucking and jerking or just a governed feel.

Camo50n, I may have led you down the wrong path, which is why I brought up the cruise question. Can you ask your shop people if that code they were seeing on their diagnostic was a code 41 or code 232? If it is a 232 that opens up another whole can of worms. 232 is related to 5v sensor supply voltage, which includes boost, atmos, oil pressure, coolant temp, intake air, and fuel temp sensor, along with all the wiring and connectors in the related circuits. Sorry for not bringing up the cruise question quicker. If they can supply that info, be sure and ask for specific identifier, like 41-3, 41-4, 232-3 or 232-4. The 3 indicates open circuit, 4 indicates shorted circuit, which will definitely help in tracking problem. If they won't tell you the code like you stated earlier, find someone that will or you'll be grasping straws, wasting your money and time for a while.
