Not to be the bad guy but you should probably make a cover for the front of the trailer. You do have a lot of un secured items up there.

I don't like your truck at all. I've learned from truckers forums this thing. " If you cannot have it, hate it and bash it!"

I know it. I only had that trailer for about a month. Bought it out of desperation. I now have a fully custom RGN that I had my welder spend 50 hours on. He cut out the rear between the axles and made a nice storage area with a closing top. Also did the same in the goose neck and in the deck well. I hated that cooler there but it was too hot to deny my guys ice. The trailer is getting sandblasted and painted now. I might get an inframe box too like this one.

Oh and the turn stops are good. The truck will turn incredibly sharp.

    Nice job on the Truck!!
The engine detailing looks great, i seen that video on Youtube before you posted this thread, its always nice to see pride in a Excavators equipment!
I am in the same business and i feel your pain when it comes to making moves in tight neighborhoods or jobs, my trailer is a little longer "53' " and sometimes i have to taper block the curb to ride over it so i don't damage the tires, and working on the Jersey Shore the roadways aren't even 20' wide with tight intersections.
You mentioned shortening the wheelbase to 228" and changing the sleeper while shortening the fuel tanks and i noticed the lowboy has a power pack, just a thought, when you shorten the tanks you might consider making one tank split 50/50 for a future wet line, everybody i know that starts with a lowboy eventually gets the extras for the horse "dump trailer, walking floor..............

Great idea on the taper block. I will definitely use one. Thanks, for noticing. I am just dead set on keeping all my stuff in tip top shape. I'm very patient when it comes to buying stuff. I just look for something to get into that has not been abused and the least amount of money to get in. Then spend the time and money. I haven't quite needed a wet kit but I am about to have to find tanks and will definitely consider that.

Dumptag, I'm up in Dahlonega with my 2000 379 with a 475 CAT. BTW if you need parts, Ryder has a parts warehouse in Lawrenceville. [IMG]

Well somebody stole my 379 and the lowboy. Friday night at 3 a.m. It was at the shop parked in the yard waiting to get the work done. The shop owner's sister put out an ALERT! on Facebook which spread like wildfire. I sent them a picture. They posted it on a county alert group in the county it was stolen in. Well, a nice young lady saw the facebook alert post with the picture and noticed the truck and trailer sitting next to her house. She lived next to the deadbeat and we got the Sheriff over there and it was my rig. Unbelievable, I had written it off. After they got a warrant they found the guy in the house. We had been there for four hours waiting on a warrant. They brought him out in cuffs and what a dirtbag. He ruined the paint removing my stickers, and jacked up the dash and some lights don't work, but the shop will fix all that. Can't be too careful. I am definitely doing theft prevention this week on everything I own.
