I'm hauling 140,000lb weights, so far the highest I've seen is 850 and only for a second or two. Most hills, it will climb to 700 before dropping down.

    SAR and Oxbow Thank this.

I drove a 2007. Pyro was post turbo. When ever it started to get above 900° I would switch on the fan. I just did not let it get hotter.

    SAR Thanks this.

What do you think @superhauler on these exhaust temperatures? I know you used to run a acert back in the day. Some of the guys here are couple hundred degrees cooler then me which has me concerned now.

Like I said I start backing out of it when it approaches 1000* or start downshifting. I do not let it hang there for long.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

I'm running in the prairies in Canada. It's still pretty cold here yet, warmest days been 7 degrees celcius. Bet my temps go up when it 30 Celsius in summer.

    Oxbow and SAR Thank this.

Yeah that's true, the numbers I was posting yesterday the temp was mid 50's fahrenheit and running at 100,000lbs. We have small hills here no mountains that I am on.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

@snowman_w900 are you still running a acert? If you do, what kind of numbers are you seeing if you have a pyro gauge? Thanks

    Oxbow and snowman_w900 Thank this.

Yes sir. Mine used to be a 475, but its tuned. Honestly after changing injectors and bigger air to air and tune, im lucky to 800 to 900 on a hard pull.

For the power im pushing, i really dont think i could get away with these temps if it were a single charger like 6nz or 5ek. At one point, before my tune and few other little upgrades, i was thinking about converting to single, now im glad i didnt. Thats just my opinion though.

The acert I had never got above 900. Before and after a tune. Look for a boost leak. When my cac cracked I had to really watch the pyro even on flat ground!

Oxbow, SAR and snowman_w900 Thank this.

I will check into that when I get some downtime. If I remember right I've always had these temps before and after the tune. I am getting good boost to 60 psi. I have to really work it hard to touch 1,000*, otherwise maybe 950* max.

    Oxbow and snowman_w900 Thank this.
