On mine you can hear it pull down at an idle.
Actually I think it works a bit better than the Jake's on a b model, but the Jake's on a b aren't real strong compared to newer engines.

I hear it pull mine down on idle also. It will lower oil psi also at idle. Mine only goes to 40 psi, any way I can get my pressure up? I think it works pretty well with the mix of Using the brake saver and Jakes I like it. Be cool if I could get 65 psi out of mine

If you follow the supply line to the handle you'll find it. It has a plastic knob with a jam nut to keep it where it is set.
One of ours, the one without Jakes, also has a dash switch for it to turn on automatically like the Jakes. On that truck the regulator is right next to the activation air switch.
