Stopped by Altorfer CAT this morning to get some filters & also grabbed a pre paid mail in canister to have both the oil sampled & coolant analyzed. The oil was $11 & the coolant was $33 & they will e-mail the results back.

what would cause the truck to get very slow on approaching a hill when i say very slow i mean if you are accustom going in 8th gear your have to come right back to 5th gear
-
Where do we start... plugged air/fuel filter, plugged exhaust, engine de-rate caused by an ECM fault code... is this a truck that just started acting up or something you just started driving?
make/model/engine would be good to know. -
Its an 2001 international 9100 series with a c-12 cat engine #2ks63882 truck was working very good by the way i haul 25 tons of oil each day with it and i live in Barbados, truck just started to misfire we got it check it was #2 injector ,we bought 1 end up changing cam and followers at the same time, truck got put back up and it still misfires i just got all the injectors and was told all 6 are working but not spraying the way they should is they any adjustments that can be made.

I would have to say that Slick900 is correct. Eventhough the injectors are new, they need to be calibrated. The CAT house may be the only ones that can do this but Im not sure. I had a few of my injectors go bad after the ULSD diesel swap but I didnt have to do the programming because the tech pulled them off and the shop rebuilt them on the spot. I was in Long Beach, California at the place that rebuilds the injectors....... I forgot the name though.

We have one with 280k miles on it. 410hp great mpg bolted to a a.m. 12 speed auto. If the little hose that's on the oil cooler to water pump is old change it. If it goes on the side of the road it is a p.i.t.a.

I have got back the injectors from getting them check an the guy said that they are working at they lowest point can any one tell me if the injectors can be adjusted

Old thread, but just updating. Fuel mileage has stayed in the mid 7's per IFTA qtr.(all pump to pump calculated)
I did replace the leaking CAC & radiator at the same time fall 2010. No notable difference in power or fuel mileage. Obviously better water temps. Coolant analyses improved too.
Had the overhead ran late last summer, the guy said hardly anything needed touched.
The only issue(s) are the waste gate actuator valve rusted off at the base of the canister. CAT would like to sell you a complete turbo to fix it, but someone from the forum here gave me a place to check out to fix that.
Noticed the compressor had a little oil coming out of the relief valve on the side of it. Thinking probably time to change it out in the next week or two???dairyman Thanks this.
