Decided to change the air compressor out yesterday. Learned a few things as I have never swapped one out before.

    1. Use three cans of WD-40 to loosen the nut on the steel coolant line running directly to the compressor. While I did let them soak over night, still twisted the line. The bad part is that it wraps back around the motor & under the cab. Not even sure how to get to the other end of it.

    2. Probably should have dropped the power steering reservoir. Didn't think it would be in the way & will end up replacing the feed line. Just a nick in it.

    3. Just changed the oil on Thursday, had to pull the new fuel filter off to work on this. Mistake, should have changed this first.

Everything is unbolted, just got dark early with clouds last night & had to quit. Any tips/ideas for install always appreciated.

Need more power out of this motor. According to factory settings, it is a 1450/1550 split torque(2003 2ks serial). Oil samples are OK, but am sure it is going to need inframed if turned up to a true 1650 lb/ft & 430 hp. Have a 10spd with 3.55 gears. Would love a 13 behind this thing.

Do you turn it up & hope for the best(turbo & ecm reprogram from Mr Haney)? Inframe & upgrade the power setting or trade to a 14/15 liter motor? Some of the newer trucks look great, but anything newer also has emission related issues.
