I have only looked at two & the tags were on the upper center, left side of motor. Plenty of CAT guys that will definitely correct me if I am wrong. Should be a BXS or MXS pending year of motor.
Mine is an 06 W9 with an 05 engine. Serial # starts with MXS.It is found on left upperside of engine.And yes yours should be an Acert.
hi guys, i have a problem, if somebody can help me. i bought a cat c15 acert engine, the engine was installed ina peterbilt 2010, but, i want to put the engine in a kenworth T800 2007, but the harness that goes from ecm to cab doesnt match, they're diferent, i'm from mexico and i dont know wher can i find it, if you know what is, please reply, my truck is trunk because that can you tell me the number of part or how can i ask for it
I believe Cat makes a harness for this, I'm sure someone on here will direct you in the right direction.
need more details please! i have a 06 accert, replced head at 301000kms(188200miles approx.)lucky was warrenty for parts and labor(i bought it at auction and had 297000kms/185625miles) two weeks later replaced wiring harness in head(warrenty after getting upset with cat) had top end reset after putting 160000/100000miles on it. It runs smoother but fuel milage is poor 3.8-4.5mpg pulling 8axle grossing 140000lbs !!!!! ps! cat nip like to know what you did to get fuel milage up?
I havent heard of anyone converting a DPF Cat backwards to an 07. maybe your trying a direct swap.cant tell by your post. Im pretty sure anything with a DPF had to have cab/chassis mods to make everything fit and your 07 wont have that. give more details
the exhaust system is diferent between sdp and my old kenworth engine, somebody told me that i need to rewire the harness, but it is too dificult, i have been searching in the internet but i cant find the one that i need, i have a question, every kenworth harness of sdp engine is the same? any year 06,07,08,09,10?
