You may want to try a Bullydog out. You can try one out for 30 days and if you don't like it they will give you back your money. Not too many that will do that. I liked the fact that for $2900 I had something tangible on the dash that could tell us if we are driving in the best gear and are doing an efficient job of driving. Kinda why that Rutherford cut on the Bullydog because he was coming out with a gauge to do the same. Anyway I had Cat turn my C15 from 435 to 550/1850 (I already had the 1850 tranny) the power increase was nothing to brag about and if you did not know it had been done you probably would not have even noticed. Now the Bullydog turned it into a power house and is fun to drive. We baby it just as much as we can and the data proves it. However in my situation the mpg did not go up any. I learned later and mostly from Mr. Hanney that if you don't remove the catalytic mufflers that none of these tunes are going to help much. We just changed our mufflers last night. Our darn International has 4" inlet and 5" outlet and really not a flow through but it is now :biggrin_2559:. I guess having an ECM tuned and the fact that someday if you end up in a shop you don't want to be (it will eventually happen) they could wipe it out and you have to pay for it again. The Bullydog you can turn it back to stock and turn it back on once a shop is done with you. You have control over it as well as if you ever get a driver you fear might hot dog it you can turn it off/remove. Like I said we gained no mpg but it made it a wonderful truck to drive. I am hoping that that the muffler will help - I noticed no increase in noise or jake brake noise at all.

It does eat at me that Haney might have something that would have helped but I just did not like the fact that I could lose the download. And we run almost 7 days a week and did not want to shut it down to send the ECM off.

You should try the Bullydog trial program.

Interesting, was this on the c15 Acert?
I'm hitting 7.3 mpg but I feel hungry for more power

Yes. 2006 MXS Acert. Muffler got me 2 tenths which is the only thing out of $10,000 I spent to try and help mileage. We are now under 100 mile radius with county roads and city traffic pulling full gross and are averaging 5.5 -5.8 with some rare 6.0
