    I do like the truck,I don’t like such a small engine in a tandem dump but I noticed quite a few tandem have , my old truck has 3406b in it I believe it has 350 hp enough power I would get something newer but anything after 2007 have problems with excessive

    I suppose it has a lot to do with what you are doing, how they are driven and how they are maintained. One man I did some work on had a tandem dump, N A 3208 with an auto. I mentioned that seems way under powered. He replied it has enough power to get the job done but not hardly enough to tear anything up. Anybody can drive them. I buy everyone I can find.

    That’s a good thing about the baby Cat I have. With only 700 ft lbs. it gets the job done but like you say doesn't tear anything up. Over a million miles in 17 years and never had to replace anything in the driveline. All the original Spicer joints and carrier bearings are still good. The 6 speed or rear diff has never been opened up either.
