They might need to expand their coverage area. It blows my mind that their semi-synthetic oil has cured your oil consumption issue. I wonder if the same thing would happen if others having the same issue were to use it? Maybe PA crude based has something to do with it? Maybe those guys know something others haven't figured out? Any way you look at it, your experience is something to keep in mind. Just in case it seems that I am doubting you - that is not the case! What happened just blows my mind.

Lots of drivers report on here all the time that they use a certain brand of oil religiously, and always had to add a gallon or so, and then for whatever reason they switched brands and it stopped consuming oil with the different brand. Who can argue they know their truck and what it did.. I've only got 2 five gallon buckets of Rotella 15w40 left - out of a 40 bucket stash I bought several years ago. I'm going to give store brand NAPA 15W40 a try when all the Rotella is gone. Hoping my gallon of oil consumption will go away with a change but not going to count on it.

I don't believe every thing that I read on here. I will believe those I know or repeatedly give sound advice.

The previous owner of my truck always ran Mobil Delvac, it used a half a gallon every 10,000 miles. I have always used Rotella, and switched the truck to that when I got it home. It was using 1 gallon of oil every 5200 miles. I ran it like that for four months with no change, switched back to Mobil Delvac and its back to half a gallon every 10,000.
