Cat MBN INFO PLZ

    Hello everyone I need some advice regarding 2012 pete 388 Glidder kit with Cat C15 MBN13479 475hp wheel base 244 ratio 3:55. Truck is in good condition . Motor has 700000 kms and truck has 1781990 kms. I looking to buy it please give some info regarding motor and your opinion. I will be so thankful.

    Why would someone put a MBN motor in a glider?

    No Idea ... this is what I get !!! I kknow about motor like 6nz mxz etc but no idea about it

    You might want to research that engine, was one of the worst motors Cat ever made, thats why I can understand why anyone would put one in a glider.

    You might as well just take it out and replace it for what that would cost. And there are a lot of differences between them.

    Hmm it’s just a flash away from a 6nz other than a minor compression bump which is no big deal.. maybe your thinking of a accert sdp

    Yeah dont give out bad advice. The MBN is a very good motor with a few upgrades. In stock form not so much so but like these drivers say easy to fix. I ran one for 10 years and it only had an aftermarket exhaust manifold, turbo and 6NZ flash and it was just as good as any factory 6NZ out there without having the same 6NZ camshaft, pistons and injectors. Very doubtful what is in this glider kit is a stock MBN it's probably like the one I ran or maybe even has the 6NZ pistons, injectors and cam swapped in. Maybe whoever built this glider already had a good MBN on hand to use but without looking at it we can never know these things for sure.
