Anyone able to use the Comdata card for CAT Scales? So far I've been just using my own debit card for the scales on Weigh My Truck app and getting reimbursed on my weekly pay. If we are allowed & able to use Comdata for CAT Scales how do I use it? No one taught me...I was in training 7 years ago and have been doing a bunch of local gigs since then. Now that I'm back at Swift I don't even recall if my trainer back in 2019 taught me...and I highly doubt any Driver Manager would know...this isn't the kind of thing they would know about in my experience.

What your Comdata card is good for depends on how your company set it up. Someone at your company will know enough to answer your question. Why don't you just try to use it next time you need to weigh a load. It will either work or not but then you will know.
Lonesome and navypoppop Thank this. -
use comdata card as a credit card. inform the cashier its a corperate card.
navypoppop Thanks this. -
Yes, comdata works with the cat scale app. When you enter the card number, use ALL the numbers. One bit is swifts account, the other is your identifier.
The only question is "does swift allow it?", which your fm can answer.
@Moosetek13navypoppop Thanks this. -
Its up to how your company has it setup, I have always used my fuel cards for CAT, up at Heartland had to call Heartland to set it up

Your Comdata card SHOULD allow you to pay for:
- Diesel fuel (away from a company terminal that supplies fuel)
- DEF (same as above)
- Scale fees (usually at a Cat scale)

I've tried once before in the Weigh My Truck app, but it was declined. And I could use it in the store, but that's quite the process...call DM, approve $15.25, scale, go in and pay, hope card isn't declined, and see if I need to scale again, and if I do...call DM again, approve $5.25, etc. So far the above explained process is all I know unless another Swifty knows.
The last time I asked a DM about using the card I spent 45min trying to get 2 load bars from a Love's using the Comdata card...I called a DM twice to approve transaction twice and the card was declined twice...so I just used my own debit card and got reimbursed later...but it ate almost a whole hour of time for something that could have been purchased in 5-10 minutes. I just don't see the need to be asking DMs questions that they aren't familiar with (because they aren't physically out here on the company app, with Geotab always in the face, with the busted DEF pump, with the "see cashier" fuel pump message, etc.)
It's much faster with personal debit and reimbursed on paystub...but I was wondering if anyone else had success putting in their Comdata numbers in the Weigh My Truck app. -
I'm pretty sure the Comdata card can be used for the CAT scale, but you might need to call payroll to set it up.
I heard something about it before I retired, but I never bothered to do it.
The DL should know. If not the DL, the FM should know. -
have you sent a mac 28 for load bars and other products you need?
i dont use the catscale app so dont know how that works.
i just give my comdata card to cashier for catscales.
you can get load bars, oil, and such from terminals.navypoppop Thanks this. -
