    What surprised me was the mention that Cat Scales was first installed 40 years ago. I always had the feeling the company way way older than that.

    Nope,come out around 1979 1980....
    What started cat scales was Dirty Lyle was busting way too many trucks over on axles in AZ,NM and Texas.....
    They even threw guys in jail in Alvarado Texas for being smartasses.

    Yeah,trucking was different,but at least it wasn't a media enhancement likw today
