When I was running hopper bottom I was over by 400 lbs. on the drives ONE time at Carlock . I had to shovel feed from the front hopper to the back . I have seen plenty of cranes at the scales there moving scrap metal or heavy equipment tires on a trailer .

Those at the truckstops are the cheap ones. They only cost less than 10 bucks. The valet ones where they weight it for you with the invitation for free parking around back is the ones that cost....:biggrin_2554:

I was at one of the expensive joints once! Great service! Well, been to those more than once, but only got to see the free parking around back once.

It cost the company rather than me though. I told them I couldn't balance the load, they told me to run with it. It was all in the qualcomm. They paid the ticket.

CAT only guarantees the gross, not the axles.

    Not true.

    link http://www.catscale.com/guarantee.cfm

CAT Scale Offers an Unconditional Guarantee
If you get an overweight fine from the state after our scale showed you legal, we will immediately check our scale. If our scale is wrong, we will reimburse you for the fine. If our scale is correct, a representative of CAT Scale Company will appear in court with the driver as a witness.

It's that simple, and just another reason why we are your #1 choice.
We guarantee it all! That's right! We guarantee axle weights to be accurate as well as the gross weight.

    Lilbit Thanks this.

I swear I read one of their things that said gross weight only. Oh well, either it was outdated or wrong. Or I read it wrong.
