Joplin Petro on I-40 exit 4 was 1500lbs over on the trailer, was not able to get them to slide, and the scale house right next door was open.. A couple of others tried with me and had no luck. Took it to the petro garage, next door and this skinny mechanic ( 95lbs soaking wet) moved the tandems in under 5 minutes. Something me and at least 3 other could not do in 1/12 hrs LOL..

them cat scales seem to come in handy... What's usually the reason you can't slide your tandems? If you can't slide them what do you to get them to move? I heard soap and water mixed together to get em loose.

Many states will give you 1,000# over axle so long as you're not over on gross weight. Depends on the state & what discretionary powers that state allows, and the officer (new ones have their head swollen twice normal size & do everything exactly by the book). When the swelling goes down after they realize that by the book is not always good then the discretionary part kicks in.

Soap and water do come in handy. For some reason they just would not move. Ya frozen pins or release handle sticking, but this was a warm summer day, so not to sure what the reason was. All I know is 3 could not get them to move. But one skinny mechanic at the petro could. Could also have jared them loose a little bringing it to the shop which made it easier for the mechanic..
