Do you know what the 12 fault code is or know where I can find what the fault codes mean? I have found several but none that just list one particular code. I would appreciate it.

Code 12 is the coolant level sensor fault. Could be that the coolant is low or the sensor is needing cleaned/replaced. If you have a CAT operation manual the codes will be listed in there.
Moving on Down the Road Thanks this. -
i have a 2004 mbn. just put ecm off a 2000 model with serial# 6nz27647. tach wont work, engine fan wont turn on and cruise control switch is backwards. what do i need to do?

What was used to get the fault codes?
Are any of them active?
The reason I ask is the codes are all over the place, assuming they are PID-FMI
179-2 is Rear axle weight Data interm. or Incorrect
175-5 is Oil Temp open circuit
135-12 Extended Fuel Pressure Bad Device or Component
32-00 Transmission Splitter Position out of range
192-0 Bad message
I would concentrate only on active codes at this time or print then erase the codes and test drive to see what comes up. -
This is an old thread, I don't remember what ended up being the problem now.

OK.. How can I tell the date a message was posted on so I don't reply to old posts? I looked all over the header and all I see is Last Seen which could have been a few moments before I logged in.... Any help would be appreciated as I only visit this forum a few times a week so it is hard to track new and old posts without a date posted line.
I am probably missing something obvious

You are, but lots of folks do the same. It's in the upper left hand corner of each post.
