Theres something wrong with that 08 in the vid. No way it should start like that.
Sounds almost like it had air in the fuel system.
Cool engine no less.

swaan Thanks this. -
Here's another video of a 3408, mine in fact. If you haven't already seen it you can hear the engine working hard about halfway through the video
rollin coal, Grey Dodge, albert l and 7 others Thank this. -
If it's dual turbo it sounds like it is marine engine spec. I've got a pic of a dual turbo marine 3408 at a friend's w/shop with a dyno plate on it of around 800 HP. I'll see if I can find it and upload it.Zeviander, wore out and Diesel Dave Thank this.

Great video Ozdriver! Thanks
Ozdriver and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
There are industrial versions as well that would not have the water cooled manifold like the marine engines, 800 is the max rating for any 3408 and that is marine application.
The same displacement C18 inline 6 makes 1150hp in max marine spec.Ozdriver Thanks this. -
Awesome vid ozdriver! Your a smoooth operator . Suprized your v8 dont even smoke much. Love them engines
Diesel Dave, Ozdriver and Oxbow Thank this. -
Can get enough of watching the vid. Awesome job Mr. OzDriver, and some very smooth shifting. But I have one question, how come you guys drive on the wrong side of the road and the drivers seat is also on the wrong side ?
Ozdriver Thanks this. -
As we live "down under ", everything is a mirror image to the northern hemisphere. Even the bath water goes down the plug hole the opposite way.Oxbow and Diesel Dave Thank this.

You do know your upside down right ?
Ozdriver and Diesel Dave Thank this.
