Just go hang out where bull haulers hang out. Sale barn or near packing plant. Look at the names on the trucks. Talk to drivers or call the companies.
There are hundreds of small companies that haul cattle. Some just short trips back and forth from feedlot to packer and some that go anywhere and everywhere

Cattle are different than hogs of course. Much bigger and can seriously hurt you or the cows if not handled correctly. But in the few years I hauled hogs I met plenty of drivers that had zero livestock experience and appeared to have little driving experience. I don't think either of those are ideal but it happens all the time
Nashville Thanks this. -
National beef has their own cattle hauling division too .
Nashville, Oxbow and RockinChair Thank this. -
I don’t think National has any company trucks hauling fats anymore. I know they did at their plant in Brawley CA but not sure if they brought any of those out to KS when they shut it down.
Capitol out of Decatur TX has an ad that says they train you for hauling cattle but they also require 2 years of driving experience.
I guess the question is if this person is willing to move for a job and where they are willing to move to. Getting up into KS or NE would have more employment opportunities. Foote has company trucks hauling cattle but you’d have to live around Oakley or Hoxie KS or you’d never see your house.
