    I'm 45 & have been around cattle all my life from raising them to hauling them. Pulled a rack from 03-08 when the runs slacked off & I went back to flatbed. Say what you want about cattle,but you could always smell the hog haulers long before you could see them & you knew they had been there even after they left. I was always told the word backhaul originated with hog haulers when they came south with hogs looking for cattle to get them back to Iowa.

    I agree with @wore out. Pay special attention to the part about watching the folks that stay calm and cool loading, they're the ones doing it right. You don't have to be a screamer to get cattle to do what you want, all that does is get them stirred up.
