Hopefully I’m in the right spot here. I’m building my own air line box to go on my catwalk. Ok I’ll be installing red lighting to shine on the trailer, witch should I go with led or standard bulb tail lights. And should I wire them to just glow or glow super bright? Thanks in advance

All new lights I would install, including replacing old bulbs, are led. Less power required and they last longer.

My first advice is don't install them. But, since you're going to ignore that, DO NOT make them super bright.

    driverdriver and Tb0n3 Thank this.

Because I think they're pointless and I hate that guys make them bright so they're an irritant when passing at night.

I agree with Not4, trying to pass someone who has a super bright light shining right into the eyes of others is a bad thing.

There's a dude, looks like a young Russian, started keeping three thrasher 670's where I park my truck. Two look like they haven't moved since they got parked where they are at.

All have both LED light bars & mini LED light bars where the road lamps used to be.

    Massively cool.

Well I agree in a sense of placing them respectfully, in witch I plan on. I got four LEDs last night and started working the aluminum to fab my box up. I’m excited!!

I prefer incandescents, especially on the rear in the winter. LED's generate no heat, and therefore ice over real quick rendering your tail lights/brake lights/turn signals useless and unable for anyone to see. Incandescents melt the slush that thies to accumulate so that traffic behind can still see your lights.

    "New" technology isn't always better.
