That's how I do it! Sometimes I'll even do a 3rd walk before leaving.

Got home one time after dropping a trailer in Allentown and then had a radiator hose blow just as I got on I78 heading west so had to get a service call. I got out of the truck and went to the passenger side to open the door and there was the mechanics flashlight sitting between the step and fuel tank. One of those big 4 battery jobs. So it's not just us with our bar. :)

We all drive different. I left my bar on the deck once and it never moved an inch.

Stopped at the rest stop in Stamford ct a while back. Load of bluestone pulled in next to me with his bar on the deck. Got out and handed it to him: very surprised, said he came outta some place in Maine 6+ hrs away. Smooth driver, those roads sure aren't.
