You might want to bump that wire size up to 4 gauge especially since you will likely be over 10 feet of wire once you route it all. You also shouldn't need a second ground. As far as how to run your cables...look for grommets in the floor or firewall and run them through there. But I will say try and find a grounding point somewhere on the frame as close to the amp as possible.

 

You're playing with fire, instead of asking here you should be educating yourself. I hope it's your truck.

 

Is it a Cascadia?
Should be a fairly easy job running the power.
I came from the battery box through a rubber plug on the firewall and up the A pillar into the overhead cubby.
Just be sure the fuse is right at the battery...and everything wrapped and zip tied so no rubbing.

How many watts is that amp? 100 amp fuse may be to big!
My 98VHP is a 4 pill and uses 35 amp fuses at the radio on both ground and hot side.
Then I have a 50 amp right at the battery....

a 98v has 8 mosfets in it unless it's been altered. And should only draw 25 amps on am

OK here is what I know ....

The 1X4 dave made POS amp I have here draws 96 amps when it is running at full capacity - it also has Chinese knockoff toshiba transistors.

SO I would use a 120 amp breaker (I don't think they make 110 amp) with at least 4 ga if you are running under 10 feet, the voltage drop may be as high as 6%, you would like to see less than 3% drop.

 

Quick question ridgeline even though it does not pertain to linears.. any ideas or thoughts as to why my swrs are at a 1:1 to 1:2 on channel 20 and 40 but up around 1:7 to 1:8 on channel 1 ??? Any thoughts or help in this is appreciated. I haven't been in this truck long it's another cascadia. I'm trying to work the bugs out thanks
