Well ok..So with my r/x #'s and impedence #'s...Where should they all be if not r=50 and x=0 and impedence at 50 ohms...How much is to much or little on either side of those #'s

I'm drilling a hole in the roof on my 2015 GMC. Drilled one in my last truck too. Get the right rubber plug for the hole so if you trade it off you can plug it correctly. (you can get the plug at a commercial radio shop or probably on line somewhere I'm sure.) It won't leak, a truck is too tall for anybody to see it so it won't hurt the appearance, and it won't hurt your trade one bit. My cousin is a GMC dealer and affirmed that. I sold my last truck myself and the guy that bought it never said a work about the plug. A lot of trucks used in business get holes drilled in them. Ain't no big deal on a truck, go for it.

    rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

Not to mention drilling a hole protects the paint also. Sand gets trapped underneath those magnet mounts and scratches the paint.
