    It's a midland 75 822 with squelch only. A lot less skip currently, I had been able to hear a good amount of random conversation.

    When you drive thru OKC some late afternoon or evening, ask one of the CH 19 on-air regulars. Within about 5-miles of IH35-40 intersection, any direction.

    I have a question....

    If ant tune does change with the ground you drive over and when ant bends with the wind,could a fella just tie some string to the tip and pull it back to simulate wind blast and see the effects with an analyzer?????

    I'd think dry string would do pretty well. Tie it off to the desired angle in order to emulate wind effects and get back in the cab and close the door and test the effects. Of course, nearby trees or cars or other objects can affect SWR results, just as they do driving on the road out there.

    Yeah trees,cars,pavement and whats under it all play a lil bit of a roll..
