I've been looking at a couple of basic electronics books on Amazon. I've seen a few CB books. Any good ones? I'm looking for something that teaches basic radio theory and explains things in a way a novice can understand. I would like learn a little about some basic repairs, testing, and mods and what not to do. TIA
CB books?

Most books on CB radio have been out of print for a very, very long time. You can pick them up from used book sellers on the internet. You can search for them by using the ISBN number. When they talk about licensing, a CB operator's license is a thing that no longer applies. The stuff about SWR readings is extremely valuable and can allow you to test your installation and avoid many expensive problems.
.
.ISBN 0913990043, "The Big Dummies Guide to CB Radio". While I hate the name, it is really easy to read with clear explanations of the basics.
.
.ISBN 080196623, "Chilton's CB Handbook". A little more technical but with a really good troubleshooting section. -
Unless you can find a older radio many new sets are going to SMD parts ... a pain to work on .....
