Back in the day I went by 'California Sidewinder" because I'm from... Go ahead and guess, and because I appreciated the tenacity of the sidewinder to survive in it's harsh habitat. Now I'm going by "Flying Pig" because I'm a big Pink Floyd fan and I love teasing my 10 y/o about seeing flying pigs while on the road. Drives him crazy:biggrin_25510:

Your wife sounds like me (see my second line in the signature)!

I go by Lilbit on the radio too. I got dubbed that when I was still in training. I was at a place in Jackson, MS chatting with another driver who asked me what my handle was. I didn't have one yet, and he told me I should go by Lilbit cause I'm just a 'little bit of a thing' (5'2", 110 soaking wet). I liked it so that's what I go by. Musically, I go by Lefty because I play bass left handed (but I write right handed).

Hubby goes by Rock N Roll Nik now (he's a rock musician in his spare time). He started as Shot Time though. That came from the battle cry of me and my crew at the bar we use to hang out at all the time. One of us would yell "Shot Time!", and all us girls would be at the bar for a shot in the blink of an eye (On a weekend night, there would be about 10 of us). We killed a lot of brain cells back then!

I can definately relate to "Mamabear" and the signature line! I'm 5'1" and grown men back off real fast when I get mad! Maybe it's the reddish hair?

You know what they say about small things?

Good things come in small packages!

You ladies may be small of stature but you make up for it in attitude! I can't help it but smile when I see one of you on a tirade dressing down some fella twice your size (even if you are standing on a chair to do it!).

I am sure GuysLady(Weather Lady) can relate to that! Good times Ladies.

Can definately relate! I once dragged a 6'4" 300lb dispatcher across a counter and threatened to beat him to such a bloody pulp that there wouldn't be enough left for DNA if he so much as breathed wrong, and then proceeded to chew his butt out so thoroughly that I swear I was still picking pieces of his sorry hide outta my teeth a month later! (He called me some names that if I repeated them here, I'd get my butt in trouble! LOL!) My hubby's dispatchers have avoided me like the plague since then.

I'm Fred. It was a nickname given to me based on Fred in Smokey and the Bandit. Have no clue why except that I loved the movies....still do.

Hubby hasn't came up with one yet but we are still deciding from a few: "Georgia" was given to him during td school, "Doodlebug" is a nickname that was given to him by a couple of our friends and "Ranger" just because my Daddy was an Army Ranger with 22 yrs of service before he decided to drive a truck (He wants to drive in his memory). He has thought about using Slow Poke or Boogie Woogie, both handles used by deceased members of my family. Slow Poke may very well be the one to make it as he was called that on the CB a couple nights ago.

Boogie Woogie (Boy) - my biological father, got it from partying
Slow Poke - my Daddy, got it from obiding by the speed limit from choice

Other notables from my family of truckdriiving:
GA Moonshine - grandfather, you can guess why the name
Guard Rail - uncle, Paapa told him he had to have a handle before he talked on the
CB back in the day, he looked over and noticed the guard rail and said it was all he
    could think of
Cupcake - cousin, I guess from his "sweet" ways with the ladies
Bird Dog - for obvious reasons
