It was toothpick for a while. When I was in orientation at Melton Truck Lines I was lifting 1 section of a 2 piece tarp onto the deck of a flatbed which you had to be able to do to work there. I'm a skinny little guy and I had no problem throwing it on the deck while other people had trouble getting it on there. When I was lifting it, one of the more fun guys that was there in the orientation yelled "Git er done toothpick!". It just kind of stuck after that. I did some local driving for a while and decided to just start using my nickname which is Tez, and I actually got that name from a girl I dated in high school.
Shoot....where do I start?? When I FIRST started talking on the 100mw Radio Shack walkie talkie I was Archer.... as in Sagitarius... Then someone started calling me Big Mike...6'6" and only 186#.... when I started driving OTR it somehow changed to Bodyguard.... now I'm known as Triple 7
LMBO....I so miss being out there chasing that dotted white line with you clowns. The humor is what keeps ya ticking like a timex.....
Now if thats the Slow Poke we used to talk to he wasn't that durn slow...lol. We met him once at Petro in Florida if its the same guy. Have you ever heard gator up towards Gainesville? Thats a guy I knew in Ft Myers years ago...Bobby
Got that handle by my flatbed trainer at Swift cuz I would always set the cruise on the truck(at the time the trucks did 65 on the pedal) and take my time letting all the other Swift trucks go down the road.....funny thing is we were all on the same run but i would get to Laredo first after being the last one to leave. Hmm go figure.
