Had been named "Fast Food" nothing to do w/ my eating habits, 100+ mph Big Mack truck... but that all changed. I sold the truck yrs ago.
Then began running with a group of locals that asked for my handle, I said Fast Food... they heard "The Dude" one of them knowing my name said that was perfect... from the "Big Lebowski"?
I threw out that piece of junk radio and got new... but the name stuck, and kinda fits.

The reason is that was my dads handle. My first ride in a truck was in the early 80's when trucking was awesome. He had a kick a&& airbrush done on the side of his truck with his handle.
Cant forget the way that made me feel.
I knew what I wanted to do when I was grown.. And I did it.
Not as awesome as I remember but .. Still awesome nonetheless.KF7WTV Thanks this. -
Thats a genuine handle then.. Thats what one of them heard so, chalk it up to serendipity.

rainmaker, got mine during training since my trainer could be driving and it would be clear blue skies but as soon as I got behind the wheel within 30 minutes it would start raining.

I got my handle Axxman from the Fire Dept after venting a roof faster with an axe than a chainsaw.

Was given my handle "Thor" at a previous job before i started trucking. Was working for a company loading tankers with coal ash. Boss was a huge Marvel fan and started calling me thor because of my long hair (yes, its blonde). Caught on with the drivers. And I have a tendency to drop the hammer.
Speedloader Thanks this. -
I've been known by several different handles on the CB, my most famous ones have been boomerang, I got that one when I was hauling coils from LA to Chicago, I was the only driver that got stuck on it for all 8 months we hauled for that job. the second famous one was giggles, I got that name when I was going through orientation because one of the guys said something so funny I couldn't stop laughing and I was the one that was giggling in the corner after I played a joke on somebody.
vhughes and Speedloader Thank this.
