I have not figured out one yet. I believe people have to give you a nickname instead of making your own. All through out high school and college people just called me "Proctor". Not sure if I will use that.

Me; I go by "tail-twister." My companion, Tonya coined that one. It seems she and I both have a 'unique' sense of humor and are always joking around.
When joking with someone, they may say you are "pulling their leg" or "yanking their chain. When I'm joking around, Tonya usually tells me I'm "twisting her tail". From there "tail-twister" passed into use pretty readily. -
I'm called Catfish because I've been chasing monster blues on the Ohio River since I was a boy.
My daughter is nicknamed Etsy, short for "et cetera." Her name is Eleanor, and when she was little I used to dance her around in my arms singing the song "Elenore" by The Turtles. You know it, "Elenore gee I think you're swell, and you really do me well, you're my pride and joy, et cetera." We were out and about one day when she was about 3 years old, and when a grandmotherly type lady asked her name, she said "My name is Et Cetera! -

I go by gomer. Yes im from nc and was in the army as a instructor soldiers called me that and it stuck.

My wife hung "wrong way" on me. And it stuck.
Because when I first started driving otr the company I worked for gave me the directions. And it never failed I would come to a road. The dir. Would say go south. But the road ran east and west. I'd always go the" wrong way"
