I have taken a Garmin GPS on flights many times.
That is why I know the top speed is just before leveling off at altitude.
Over 600mph on most international flights.
Just don't try set a destination and put the sound on while going over a metropolis.
The poor lady doing the recalculating freaks out a bit.

    281ric Thanks this.

I have a Piper Cub in Indiana but it fly's so slow I don't need a GPS ,lol

Set the GPS for Off Road mode and it will just show the most direct line as the crow flies. No recalculating.

Now, if you pull out a 109" whip and fire your rig up in the passenger compartment, they might say something.

I've carried 2 drones in carry on luggage in the past few years as well as a huge assortment of electronic cigarettes with batteries etc. and never had a problem with security. Yes they want to take the bag to seconadary inspection and visually look at everything but never lost more than just a couple of minutes compared to the rest of the people.

Take your CB and you'll be fine but whatever you do don't try to take personal hygiene products.

Yes they might . A lot depends on where you taking the flight from. Stupid , yes. Even with government clearances I got a raft of crap from TSA bums in uniform so I do not fly commercial anymore.
