Why give them a choice, it is the law in many states, regulations other than that. So they should get it themselves that will suit their needs.
B/C the OP wants to communicate with his drivers and I personally wouldn't wear a headset, it messes up my hair. Just kidding I don't have much hair although I have never liked headphones, helmets or pullover hats, makes my ears itch. Luckily the Delphi radio in the Prostar I drive has Bluetooth for any incoming calls.
Well some hands free things are OK but I don't like to hear a bunch of noise when the active noise canceling system fails on them delphi radios. Even the good ear bud things are good, the noise canceling ones, not the cheap ones. By the way, the OP needs to understand it isn't his problem, it is the driver's. If he has to communicate with them and they've got phones, it is a simple fix.
Back in the 90's I drove for an outfit in Oklahoma/Texas panhandle hauling rock and we all had company radios. No traffic on it except us and very rarely got anywhere it wouldn't hit the tower. Cell service may be everywhere in California but here in Oklahoma we go lots of places there is no service at all.
