CB Problems

    I have a problem with 2015 Pete 579, every time I key my mike all my dash light go out. To reset I have to turn lights off then on. Tried running dedicated power wire from battery and a new coax, still does it. Anyone else have this issue.

    Most likely your coax is bad and/or ground issues and you may have an issue with what is called Common Current Mode.

    I have replaced coax with a very good coax, running only 1 antenna, relocated ant. location and did away with factory top corner mounts which were junk. Since truck mfg. did away with the west coast mirror mounts seems like there are a lot of problems. Might have to live with this.

    CMC can be treated. At both ends of coax.

    I’m still using factory, and lights dim. But I’m pulling less than you.

    Where is radio mounted. Up above where center sun visor is located? Or on dash top?

    Radio is mounted in factory hole above in console.
