The lower the better. 1 to 1.5 on channels 1 20 and 40 would be good.

    Brianjr323 Thanks this.

No, I had a shop do all that when they installed my antenna. I don’t know how to do any of that stuff.

Dude, on your radio there is a switch on the left side next to the meter that says "SRF/SWR/Cal".

On the meter there is a little red triangle with the word CAL next to it.

On the knobs level, on the right side is a combo knob that says "T Back" and "SWR cal"

What he means is if you set the switch to Cal, then key the mic, adjusted the outside knob to move the needle to the cal triangle on the meter. Once you do that, then you move the switch to the SWR and see what the SWR is.

ON the meter, the top scale is the SWR measurements, you can see where it is when you key your mic again.

That's why utube is your friend. Here is another video for you to enjoy. Listen carefully for the words cal and calibrate.

OK well I just did that and the outside knob didn’t do anything I had to use the inside one the bigger one. I turned it up a little bit until the needle went to the triangle and then I went to SWR and keyed the mic and it didn’t move at all. just stayed right there on number one. After I did that and I switched it back to SRF key the mic and goes almost to the triangle a little bit before.

OK well according to that video, I did everything. From what he says mine is fine I’m guessing my needle doesn’t move on any of the channels and it’s on calibrated and all that crap he said.
