Yeah I can see when someone is coming up. Sure just keep your eyes moving and you shouldn't have any surprises.

The portible forklift I haul has two chains. When one chain breaks the other is soon to follow. If another driver had not told me there might have been a 7000lbs / $30,000 moffet doing its own thing at 65mph down I-45.

Gas hauler; if you have ever had a bearing fire the sooner you hear about it the better. I work for a small oil company south of Houston been there done that with the gas, diesel, av. gas and jet A.

Actually there are several version of the Cobra 29. The 29 with the soundtracker/nightwatch/weather will be Cobra 29 WX/ST/NW where as the regular 29 without all that useless garbage will be the 29 LTD Classic. I prefer the plain jane LTD classic because the soundtracker/nightwatch/weather is really a pain to deal with and believe it or not hurts the performance of the radio especially the soundtracker. Oh yeah get a good mic. I prefer the Astatic 636L.

Actually the Soundcrapper does work, but only with other Soundtracker radios.I don't think many people realize that, it is in the radio's manual, but who reads them???

I rather have a plain jane radio without the bells and whistles hence why I love the 29 LTD Classic.

I have had a bearing go out and did catch it before any fire. I caught it when I stopped and felt the heat coming of the hub. If you have to depend on the radio to drive safely then I suggest you re-look at your driving habits. I check the truck over thoroughly every time I stop, maybe a habit you might want to try.

I totally agree with having a good cb shop do the install. Even those top of the line radios will give their best only when the installation is s/h and with top quality antenna and coax.
