had 3 Cobras in 35 yrs.

started attaching my Wilson 2000 on the back of the cab on the grab bar. didn't lose any to trees anymore.

always bought my truck stuff with points; CB's, coax cables, antennas, 12v coolers, maybe had to pitch in $25-30.

i believe i recall hearing that. i think the main reason i went with the 25 classic, was price, and fitment into the overhead cubby hole.

but over the years, i could care less on spending money on tuning and peaking.

right out the box for me, in my final years. even using the stock mic.

I use one, a Cobra 29 with weather band. I don’t like the idea of traveling without it.

I agree. Friend of mine had a 3300 and got out and received great... it quit working so he grabbed a cobra 29 just to have a radio. He cusses it every week. Biggest problem is the receiving side for him.

Personally, I swear by my General Lee, RK56, Wilson 2000 setup. My back up magnum s3 isn't a slouch either. But, I was trying to give a new guy some help on a cheap, easy to buy and get working setup.

to the sleeper, under bunk lid,(use a small piece of pipe or something so it won't get pinched), out the side box ,(pass side),and around back. zip ties and such to hold in place.
