sorry, not a fan of unnecessary vehicles.. if it burns more fuel then it does work, or fits in no parking spot, i feel it's a waste of iron and steel.. I love me some GM, but i sware the hummer is an abomination.. the first gen models were alright they could actually go off road and do some damage, these new ones.. i dont know what their purpose in life is supposed to be.

Their new purpose is 'snob' appeal...to show the next person that your so well off that you can afford a tank, and the mpg....

Kind of a guys way of having antlers....

    it shows dominance and might...

Even Gary Coleman (may he rest in peace) had to have a Hummer...
And he stood about as tall as Yoda from Star Wars...

Hey look, I'd be happy just to own a regular jeep wrangler...

Okay, the driver shooting another in this case was completely avoidable. First of all, he could had turn the CB off, second, he didn't have to pull into the rest area in the first place to "settle differences" with the other driver.
Now, if the driver was at the rest area such as inspecting his rig, taking a break or using the facilities and was approached by a man with a weapon such a stick. And he draws the gun and tell him to leave and the man keeps coming, and fires the pistol for self defense, he would be in the right in my book

    Eaton18 Thanks this.

I may be jumping the gun, BUT I believe self defense will come into play there. You are right though. Seems like we can sue anyone for about any cause these days.

If it were me being hit with the stick. I would victumize myself with award winning oscar performances. Then sue the crap out of everyone in sight.

    I need to retire some how.....darn 401k took a crap in 2008......lol

The man who shot the round, needs to be phycologically evaluated...

If I were in that situation...and I knew I had helped esculate the situation with a fellow commercial (not criminal, not robber, not taliban, not gang member) but a fellow CDL driver working to support a family...

There's no way in the world I could justify fireing off a round at them...

Sorry, but if they came at me with a stick or twig...

I'd more than likely start laughing, and back away, and give them time to cool down...

Some people even pay for this type of service to be done to them....[IMG]....not that I have or ever would...but I did read a book once that said...never mind...

Many of our relatives used such devices on us for punishment...no one ever would think to shoot your grandma or uncle for spanking you...

No ones life was at risk here...it was nothing more than two rams butting heads...

If the guy with the "stick" was 6' 5, 250 - and the one being attacked was considerably smaller/older/weaker ... all the "speculation" is out the window.

And if neither of them had had a gun...then what??

They would of both walked away either as friends or a bit tired and or embarraced from wrestling around on the ground...

They would of drove away realizing how silly and childish their actions were...

Take the gun out of the scenerio...and it would of been nothing more than a huff and puff session...

Lethol guns aren't meant for settling tempure tantrum scores...

Remember...they were both CDL drivers, on duty...

it would be like to airline pilots landing, pulling up to the termac, and have a shoot out over who's stewardesses looked better...

Just wouldn't look right would it...

The man, the driver was 'on duty' when he commited that grizzley act...

Unless he bothered to 'log out' on line 1 of log book...

And while on duty, he is, does, represent the company he's employed with...I'd empty out their account and then some...

It's no different than a Walmart employee punching me, as I walk into the store, cause I'm wearing a FLU sports jersey, and they're a Ohio State fan...

And I'd hire this attorney here, who's nationally known...to help me win my case...

I'd win, and justice would be on my side...
