    The thing is I like something with weather band and a good display check out the uniden bearcat 880:biggrin_25515:

    it has all the features you would need and pair it with a wilson trucker 2000 antenna

    A friend of mine ran a cobra 25 with a ranger sra-198 mic on a single 2' firestik FS II (Tuneable tip series) all tuned together on a day cab Pete 379 and it worked great for his use which was getting reports of any kind and keeping in touch with anyone who was heading where he was going.
